Delete your Talky account and data

Delete in the app
- Open Talky and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab, then Settings.
- Under Account and data, tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account closes right away: your sessions end on every device, notifications stop, your name leaves the weekly leagues, and the link to your Apple or Google account is removed. If you signed in with Apple, Talky's access to your Apple account is revoked too. Signing in again with the same Apple or Google account starts a new, empty account.
If you can't use the app
Email ata@kilicov.dev with the subject "Account deletion request" from the email address linked to the Apple or Google account you used for Talky. If you used Apple's private relay address, an email from that Apple account reaches us through the same relay. If we need to confirm the account, we will ask you one question; we never ask for ID documents. We carry out your request within 7 days, using the same deletion the app uses, and email you when it's done.
What is deleted
Within 24 hours of closing the account, we delete:
- your display name, time zone, Apple/Google link and sessions,
- your onboarding answers and profile,
- your speech data: anything left of your recordings, transcripts, measurements, findings and the quotes of your words in them, and voice snapshots,
- your settings, push token, device details and notification history,
- your in-app event records and messages sent to you.
Voice recordings are already deleted from our servers as soon as analysis ends; any leftover file is deleted within 24 hours. Voice snapshot recordings you chose to keep on your phone exist only on your phone; signing out or uninstalling the app removes them too.
What is kept, and for how long
The records below remain without your name or email and are no longer linked to you through sign-in. We don't use them to link back to you.

Crash reports are deleted automatically within 90 days and server logs within 30 days. Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep their own purchase history under their own policies. If you joined the waitlist on talky.cat, write to ata@kilicov.dev to have that email address removed too.
Delete only your speech data
To keep your account: Profile › Settings › Account and data › Delete speech data. Your transcripts, measurements and the quotes of your words in findings are deleted; your account and progress stay.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. To stop it from renewing, cancel it in the store:
- iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions
- Android: Google Play › Profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions
